Anyone know anything about these American Tourister 'Enchantment' by Samsonite laptop cases?

Hey there! I've seen some laptop cases I really like in a couple of stores locally, but try as I might I can't find a website for them to compare prices (the high street is hideously expensive where I live, so I always compare prices before I buy, and just buy it online if it's a lot cheaper, which it usually is!). The labels on them say they are American Tourister by Samsonite, and they come in various styles and colors, of the sort designed to appeal to women around college age. There is a backpack style which is the one I'm interested in, plus an over the shoulder tote and a briefcase with short handles and an optional long strap. I've also seen a rolling suitcase in the same style. I think they're called the Enchantment range, but the only mention I've seen of them online is random pages in price-comparison websites and the like. Like here:

Any other info on this elusive line would be greatly appreciated, including feedback on whether you liked it if you own a piece!

its called woman range, I think price is quite all right comparing to other websites...I think they deliver items to some EU conutries as well. They sell mostly trolley cases, but am sure you can find your handbag elsewhere, they might call it "laptop bag" ...Good luck

Is it safe to recharge a laptop with a voltage converter?

I'm in England and I need to charge up my laptop. However, the warning label on the voltage converter says that it should not be used for computers (it's a Samsonite 1600 watt converter). So would using a converter to charge up my laptop battery hurt my laptop or no?

A lot of laptop chargers will work on 110 TO 220 volts. My Dell charger reads as follows:100 to 240 volts. You may need an adaptor to fit the charger to the wall outlet, but a voltage adaptor may not be needed. Check your charger voltage rating. My Dell power adaptor/charger runs hotter(warmer) when using 220, but has been effective for over a year.

Another possibility is a transformer to convert 220 to 110. These are commonly available in small sizes for such applications. You may be able to pick one up where you are going. Many hotels have 110 volts available at least one place in the room.

I would not purchase a transformer and carry the weight in baggage, too heavy for even a small one.

My Hp chargers for both Jornadas will also operate on 220.

Chargers use low wattage for charging laptop batteries. About 10 watts or so. Using a high power converter may not work well because the charger does not draw enough current for the regulator to be as effective.

I burnt out a shaver charge circuit trying to use a high wattage converter.

The label on the converter refers to desktop computers and has nothing to do with laptop charging, except the low power consumption may not use enough power for the converter to be effective.

Check the power for the charger, you mght be suprised and do not risk using a high power converter for low power (10 watts as compared to the converter rating of 1600 watts) application.

are samsonite backpacks used for laptops?

i have a samsonite backpack and i'm reluctant to use it for high school.
should i use it even when i have a lot of things to carry.

I use Targus bags for my laptop. they are pretty cheap and great!
